Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 January 2026
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Mossbridge website, its archive, and its design tools. By visiting the site or using any of its features you agree to these terms; if you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Agreement to These Terms
These terms form a binding agreement between you and Mossbridge ("we", "us", "our"), the publisher of this website. They apply to every visitor, whether or not you submit a pitch, subscribe to our newsletter, or use our spatial design tools.
Where you use the site on behalf of a practice, studio, or company, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that organisation, and "you" refers to that organisation.
2. About This Site
Mossbridge is an editorial publication covering architecture, interior design, and building materials. The site includes long-form articles, a materials reference, and a set of browser-based design tools. All content is published for general information and professional interest.
We may add, change, or retire sections, tools, and features at any time. Nothing on this site is a solicitation to enter into a professional services relationship, and no architect-client relationship is created by reading or contacting us.
3. Permitted Use of the Site
You may read, browse, and share our content for personal and professional reference, provided you do not:
- copy, republish, or redistribute substantial parts of our articles without written permission;
- scrape, harvest, or systematically extract content, images, or metadata for use in another product, dataset, or service;
- use our content to train, fine-tune, or evaluate a machine-learning model without a written licence;
- remove, obscure, or alter any credit, byline, caption, or copyright notice;
- interfere with the operation of the site, introduce malicious code, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it;
- frame the site, mirror its content, or present our editorial work as your own; or
- use the site in any way that is unlawful, misleading, or harmful to others.
Short quotations with a clear link back to the original article are welcome and do not require permission.
4. Intellectual Property and Copyright
All editorial text, layout, typography, and original illustrations on this site are the copyright of Mossbridge and its contributors, unless stated otherwise. The names Mossbridge and Aesthetics Archive, together with our visual identity, are our marks.
Photographs remain the property of the photographer or the practice that supplied them, and are published under the credit shown in the caption. A credit is a statement of ownership, not a grant of rights: you may not reuse a photograph without the rights holder's permission, even where it appears on our site.
5. Third-Party Content, Links and Attribution
Our articles link to external websites, planning portals, product data sheets, and research papers. Those resources are operated by third parties, and we do not control or endorse their content, availability, or privacy practices.
If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright or another right, notify us at [email protected] with the article URL, the work in question, and evidence of your ownership. Verified notices are acted on promptly, and we will replace or remove the material while the claim is resolved.
6. Submissions, Pitches and Corrections
When you send us a pitch, project information, drawings, images, or a correction, you confirm that you have the right to share that material and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
You keep ownership of what you send us. By submitting it you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, edit, and publish that material in connection with our editorial coverage, in any format and on any platform we operate. We will credit submitted material as you reasonably request, and we may decline or return any submission.
Editorial selection is entirely at our discretion. Acceptance of a pitch does not guarantee publication, and publication does not create any obligation for future coverage.
7. Advertising and Sponsorship Disclosure
Commercial placements, sponsored features, and partnership content are labelled as such and kept visually distinct from reporting. Paid material never appears inside an article, and no advertiser reviews or approves editorial copy before publication.
Any future change to this policy would be announced in the editorial and applied only to clearly marked content.
8. Accuracy and Professional Disclaimer
We research stories carefully from primary sources, but architecture and construction involve site-specific conditions that no article can capture completely. Performance figures, costs, and construction details are reported as supplied by the practice or the manufacturer and should be verified independently before being relied upon.
Nothing here constitutes architectural, structural, engineering, legal, or financial advice. You should not specify a material, detail, or system on the basis of an article alone; engage a qualified professional who has assessed your project.
9. Availability and Changes to the Site
The site is provided on an "as available" basis. We may suspend or withdraw any part of it, including individual articles and tools, without notice, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that archived content will remain online.
Corrections and updates to articles are made visibly, with dated notes, in line with our editorial standards.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mossbridge and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, from reliance on its content, or from any external link followed from it.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the publisher is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before beginning formal proceedings, you agree to contact us so that we can attempt to resolve the matter directly.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these terms to reflect changes in the site, our practices, or applicable law. The revised version takes effect when posted, and the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change accordingly. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Material changes affecting how you may use our content, or how we use your submissions, will be summarised in a dated note on this page.
13. How to Contact Us
Questions about these terms, permission requests, and copyright notices should be sent to our editorial and press addresses listed on the Contact page. We aim to respond to legal and licensing enquiries within three working days.
